Refund Policy

ALL SALES FINAL · NON-REFUNDABLE

Every purchase from The Guidebook & Co.™ is final and non-refundable from the moment payment clears. Digital files are delivered immediately and become irrevocable upon download. By clicking “Buy Now” and completing checkout, you acknowledge and accept this policy without reservation.

Digital guidebooks & audio — non-refundable

Digital guidebooks (PDFs, ePubs) and audio files are strictly non-refundable. The download link is delivered immediately after payment clears. Once the file is available for download, the sale is irrevocably final — regardless of whether you have opened, downloaded, or read the file.

We do not offer refunds for any of the following reasons:

“I changed my mind”
“It wasn’t what I expected”
“I didn’t realize I had to do the work”
“I already knew most of this”
“I didn’t read the product description”
Failure to use or apply the material
Dissatisfaction with results that are dependent on your own effort

We will only issue a replacement or credit in these narrow, specific cases:

The file is verifiably corrupted and cannot be opened after multiple re-delivery attempts
You were double-charged for the exact same order (verified via Stripe records)
A confirmed unauthorized charge was made on your payment method

Hardcover books — non-cancellable once printed

Hardcover books are printed-on-demand (POD) by our fulfillment partner BookVault. Each copy is manufactured specifically for your order. Hardcover orders cannot be cancelled once the print job has been submitted — typically within 24 hours of purchase.

We will issue a free replacement (no return required) only if the copy arrives:

Damaged in shipping (photo required, submitted within 7 days of delivery)
Misprinted, blank, or missing pages
The wrong title shipped in error

Replacement is free. The defective copy is yours to keep or recycle.

Per-buyer watermarking

Every digital file sold by The Guidebook & Co.™ is watermarked with the buyer’s email address and unique order ID at the time of purchase. Sharing, uploading, or distributing a file — even “just to show a friend” — is traceable and illegal. Unauthorized distribution constitutes copyright infringement under 17 U.S.C. § 504, subjecting the violator to statutory damages of up to $150,000 per work, plus attorneys’ fees.

Chargebacks & payment disputes

ANY chargeback or payment dispute will be actively contested.

If you initiate a chargeback or dispute with your card issuer or bank without first contacting us, we will submit a full evidence package to the card network including: your IP address at time of purchase, timestamp and proof of your terms-of-service acceptance, the delivery confirmation log, the per-buyer watermark record, and documentation of license violation. We reserve the right to (a) permanently terminate your access, (b) blacklist you from future purchases, (c) pursue the disputed amount plus chargeback fees through collections, and (d) refer confirmed cases of copyright infringement to legal counsel. How to request support (qualifying cases only)

If your situation genuinely qualifies under the narrow exceptions listed above, email info@theguidebookco.com with your order number and a clear description of the issue. Include a screenshot of any error message. We respond within one (1) business day, Monday through Friday, 9 AM–5 PM Eastern Time. Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method within 5–10 business days.

Why we don’t offer change-of-mind refunds

Our prices are direct and honest because we don’t build refund losses into the price. The book is the book. The work is the work. The decision is yours before you click buy — not after.
