Our mission
Build the books schools forgot to print.
Most of what determines whether someone owns a home, runs a business, or builds wealth is never taught in school. It's passed down through families, networks, and luck. Our mission is to print it.
Every Guidebook & Co. title exists because a real person needed it and couldn't find it anywhere honest. The renter who couldn't read a credit report. The line cook who wanted to open a restaurant. The W-2 plumber who wanted his own truck. The bookkeeper trying to leave the firm and start solo. They went looking for the playbook, and what they found was either fluff, a $5,000 course, or a YouTube video that stopped where the hard part started.
We write the part where the hard part starts.
What we believe
- Knowledge should be cheap and direct. A $147 book that actually works is better than a $5,000 course that overpromises.
- Step-by-step beats inspirational. Nobody changes their life from a quote on a stage. They change it from a checklist they can follow at home, on their own time.
- The people doing the work should write the books. Not journalists. Not motivational speakers. Operators.
- You should not need a guru. Read the book. Do the work. Move on with your life.
- Honesty is leverage. If something won't work for everybody, we say so. If a path is hard, we say that too. Trust compounds when you don't lie.
- Fluff is theft. If a chapter doesn't help you take the next step, it shouldn't be in the book.
What we will never do
- Sell coaching upsells inside our books
- Bait you onto a webinar so we can sell you a $5,000 program
- Run a Discord, a "mastermind," or a paid community
- Promise you a six-figure income if you just read our book
- Hide what's actually in the book until after you pay
- Use our books or your data to train machine learning systems
Buy the book. Read the book. Use the book. We're done. That's the whole product.
